June 24 (The Sports Xchange) -
Washington Nationals pitcher Stephen Strasburg expects to make his
scheduled start on Sunday, he told reporters on Friday.
Strasburg missed Monday's start against the Los Angeles Dodgers due
to an upper back strain. The right-hander said he was injured during
a weight room workout.
Strasburg said two ribs were out of alignment and later adjusted
back into place.
Strasburg threw a light bullpen session Friday and didn't have any
setbacks, making it a near-certainty he will start the contest
against the Milwaukee Brewers.
The missed start on Monday prevented a marquee matchup between
Strasburg and Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw. Strasburg is 10-0 with a
2.90 ERA in 14 starts this season.

field.
Boston recalled outfielder Bryce Brentz from Triple-A Pawtucket to
fill the roster spot.

sidelined.
