Today
at 10 a.m. will be the state-wide tornado drill
conducted through the Illinois Emergency Management
Agency and the National Weather Service. As part of
the drill, the Logan County Emergency Management
Agency will conduct its first Tuesday of the month
outdoor siren test. With this also being the first
day of meteorological spring, it is a good time to
remember that high winds, straight-line winds, and
tornados can cause serious injuries as well as
damage to property. Be sure your family is prepared
by reviewing your personal emergency preparedness
plan. If you don't have a plan, the Illinois EMA has
a webpage that can help. Log on to
