PITTSBURGH -- Patric Hornqvist scored three goals, Sidney Crosby set up three and goalie Marc-Andre Fleury put up his fifth shutout of the season as the Pittsburgh Penguins rolled past the sliding Arizona Coyotes 6-0 Monday.

The Penguins' top line accounted for each of the first five goals as Hornqvist enjoyed his first career hat trick and had an assist, Crosby broke out of a recent scoring slump with his playmaking, and Chris Kunitz also scored and added an assist.

Fleury made 30 saves in his 43rd career shutout while improving to 10-1-1 in his last 12 games in Consol Energy Center -- where the Penguins, starting a busy week in which they play five games in seven days, are 11-2-2 in their past 15.

Rangers 2, Blue Jackets 1

NEW YORK -- Derek Stepan scored on a short-handed breakaway with 2:48 remaining in the third period to give New York a victory over Columbus.

With Marc Staal serving a tripping penalty, the Rangers' Ryan McDonagh was able to force a turnover and chip the puck down the ice. Stepan gathered it for a partial breakaway and turned Blue Jackets goaltender Joonas Korpisalo inside-out for his 14th goal of the season.

The Rangers won their third in a row and fifth in six games thanks in part to 26 saves by Antti Raanta. Mats Zuccarello also scored for New York, while Cam Atkinson had the Blue Jackets' lone goal.

Lightning 2, Maple Leafs 1

TORONTO -- Tyler Johnson scored twice as Tampa Bay topped Toronto. It was the seventh win in a row for the Lightning and the second loss in a row for the rebuilding Maple Leafs.

Johnson left the game in Boston on Sunday in the third period after being hit in the face by a puck, but he came back strong against the Leafs.

Andrei Vasilevskiy made 31 saves for Tampa Bay, but he was deprived of a shutout on a goal by Nazem Kadri late in the third period. Toronto's Garret Sparks made 26 saves.

Flyers 5, Flames 3

PHILADELPHIA -- Brayden Schenn scored his first career hat trick and Philadelphia continued its surge with a win over Calgary at Wells Fargo Center.

Schenn became the first Flyers player to record a hat trick on home ice since Scott Hartnell did so Jan. 15, 2012.

Claude Giroux added four assists and Wayne Simmonds scored two goals in the victory, the third straight for Philadelphia on its six-game homestand. With the Pittsburgh Penguins' 6-0 win over the Arizona Coyotes, the Flyers remain three points out of the Eastern Conference's second wild-card spot.

Red Wings 3, Stars 2 (OT)

DALLAS -- Pavel Datsyuk scored the game-winner 2:23 into overtime, and Jimmy Howard stopped 39 of 41 shots in Detroit's overtime win against Dallas at American Airlines Center.

Datsyuk scored his 13th goal of the season, sending a wrist shot high into the Dallas net from the edge of the right circle off a rebound with Detroit on the power play. Detroit gained the man advantage 1:51 into overtime after Stars rookie Mattias Janmark was called for hooking Gustav Nyquist.

Andreas Athanasiou had two goals for Detroit, who won for a seventh consecutive time in Dallas. The Red Wings won their third straight overall.

Sharks 6, Canadiens 2

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Joe Pavelski scored his 28th and 29th goals of the season while Brent Burns and Joe Thornton contributed three points each as San Jose beat Montreal at SAP Center.

The team's second win in as many nights moved the third-place Sharks to within two points of Anaheim and four behind first-place Los Angeles, both of which were idle.

The hosts broke the game open with two early strikes in the third period to put an end to Montreal's hopes of extending a point streak to five games.
