The outside linebacker was Super Bowl 50 MVP and would cost $14.13
million against the salary cap barring a long-term deal by the July
15 deadline to reach a new contract with the Broncos.
Miller had 11 sacks during the 2015 regular season and five more
during the playoffs. He was named the MVP of Super Bowl 50 with six
tackles, 2.5 sacks, two quarterback hits and two forced fumbles that
led to points.

Washington Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins received the franchise
tag from the team for 2016 after a long-term contract couldn't be
reached before Tuesday's deadline.
The tag guarantees Cousins a $19.95 million salary this season. The
Redskins and Cousins can still negotiate a long-term contract and
have until July 15 to reach an agreement.

The Carolina Panthers applied the franchise tag to All-Pro
cornerback Josh Norman, a one-year tender worth $13.95 million in
2016.

The Philadelphia Eagles and quarterback Sam Bradford agreed to a
two-year, $36 million contract.
The deal prevented Bradford from becoming a free agent. ESPN reports
that the agreement includes $26 million in guaranteed money.

Safety Eric Berry will not make it to free agency after the Kansas
City Chiefs used the franchise tag to retain him.
The one-year tender offer for a franchised safety is $10.8 million.
Berry could sign a long-term deal with the Chiefs before the July 15
deadline.

Left tackle Cordy Glenn was given the franchise tag designation by
the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills shared their decision with Glenn on Tuesday just as
defensive end Mario Williams was told he would be released. By
signing a franchise tag tender, Glenn would receive a
fully-guaranteed salary of $13.706 million for the 2016 season.

The Miami Dolphins placed the transition tag on defensive end
Olivier Vernon, and with the one-year, $12.734 million tender, the
Dolphins will have the right to match any offer Vernon receives in
free agency.

Peyton Manning plans to meet with Denver Broncos vice president and
general manager John Elway and head coach Gary Kubiak this week, but
there are no plans for the 39-year-old quarterback to announce his
intentions for next season.
NFL Network refuted a report from Woody Paige of the Denver Post
last week that implied Manning would announce his plans for 2016
this week.

Jeff Fisher and the Los Angeles Rams are in contract negotiations
geared toward a new deal to before the team plays a game in
California in 2016.
Fisher is 27-36-1 as head coach with the Rams in four seasons and
becomes the first coach since Dave Shula to get a fifth year after
starting his tenure with the team with four consecutive losing
