NHL roundup: Blackhawks blow past Wings

[March 03, 2016]  DETROIT -- Artemi Panarin had two goals to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 5-2 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night at Joe Louis Arena.

Brent Seabrook a goal and three assists, Patrick Kane a goal and two assists and Andrew Ladd also scored for Chicago while Corey Crawford made 31 saves.

Brad Richards and Gustav Nyquist scored for Detroit while Petr Mrazek made 28 saves.

Capitals 3, Maple Leafs 2

WASHINGTON -- Matt Niskanen's power-play goal at 9:31 of the third period lifted Washington over the Toronto.

Taylor Chorney and Alex Ovechkin also scored 28 seconds apart late in the first period for the Capitals.

Colin Greening and Nikita Soshnikov scored for the Maple Leafs.

Ducks 3, Canadiens 2 (SO)

ANAHEIM, Calif. -- Jakob Silfverberg scored the only shootout goal to give Anaheim a win over Montreal at the Honda Center.

Corey Perry and Jamie McGinn scored in regulation for the Ducks while John Gibson stopped 25 shots.

Alex Galchenyuk scored twice while Mike Condon made 33 saves, three less than his season high, for the Canadiens, who sustained their sixth loss in nine games.
