Avalanche 3, Panthers 2
Calvin Pickard made 38 saves, Gabriel Landeskog had a goal and an
assist, and the Colorado Avalanche beat the Florida Panthers 3-2 on
Thursday night to spoil Jaromir Jagr's record-setting night.
Jagr had an assist for his 1,850th career point, tying him with
Gordie Howe for third all-time. He is 37 points behind Mark Messier
for second.
Penguins 4, Rangers 1
Led by Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin, the Pittsburgh Penguins took
advantage of an uncharacteristic meltdown by Rangers goalie Henrik
Lundqvist to score three times in less than two minutes late in the
second period and beat New York 4-1 on Thursday night.
Patric Hornqvist added his fifth goal in three games as the Penguins
bounced back from a tough 3-2 loss Tuesday at the NHL-leading
Washington Capitals to rally and beat the Rangers -- the Eastern
Conference rival that torments them the most.
Counting the playoffs, the Penguins had dropped 11 of their previous
13 to the Rangers.
Bruins 4, Blackhawks 2
Brad Marchand scored his 33rd goal of the season, and the Boston
Bruins won consecutive games at home for the first time in nearly
three months, beating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-2 Thursday night at
TD Garden.
Boston's Claude Julien tied Art Ross for the franchise record in
coaching wins with his 387th victory.
Sabres 6, Flames 3
Left winger Marcus Foligno had a goal and two assists to lead the
Buffalo Sabres to a 6-3 victory over the Calgary Flames on Thursday.
Center Jack Eichel, left winger Johan Larsson, left winger Evander
Kane, defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen and left winger Nicolas
Deslauriers also scored for the Sabres (26-31-8). Goalie Robin
Lehner made 26 saves.
Oilers 4, Flyers 0
The Edmonton Oilers stayed hot while cooling off the Philadelphia
Flyers in convincing fashion on Thursday with a 4-0 win at Wells
Fargo Center.
Despite sitting in last place of the Western Conference and owning
the NHL's fewest road wins, the Oilers (25-34-7) outplayed the
Flyers for a third straight victory and just their ninth away from
home.
Wild 2, Maple Leafs 1
Mikael Granlund's third-period power-play marker pushed the
Minnesota Wild to a 2-1 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday
night at Air Canada Centre.
Granland one-timed a cross-ice feed from Thomas Vanek, glove-side on
Garret Sparks, at 11:35 of the third period for his eighth goal of
the season. Mikko Koivu had the other Minnesota goal.
Lightning 4, Senators 1
Ben Bishop made 33 saves to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to its
eighth consecutive victory, a 4-1 decision over the Ottawa Senators
on Thursday night at Canadian Tire Centre.

The victory moved Tampa Bay (38-22-4) into a tie with the Florida
Panthers for first place in the Atlantic Division.
Bishop, who played 23 games for the Senators between 2011-2013,
improved his record to 9-0-3 against his former team.
Islanders 4, Jets 3 (overtime)
Just when you thought the Winnipeg Jets were about to pull off a
rare third-period comeback victory, the snake-bitten team snatched
defeat from the jaws of victory.
Jets center Mark Scheifele scored his second goal of the game and
17th of the season with just over two minutes to play against the
New York Islanders, but Winnipeg couldn't make the lead stand up.
Devils 5, Predators 4 (overtime)
The Nashville Predators set a franchise record by earning a point in
their 11th consecutive game, but the New Jersey Devils stole two
points as a result of their power-play success.
Center Adam Henrique scored at 1:54 of overtime, 12 seconds into a
power play after goalie Pekka Rinne was called for delay of game, as
New Jersey rallied for a 5-4 victory Thursday night at sold-out
Bridgestone Arena.
Ducks 5, Coyotes 1
No Ryan Getzlaf was no problem for the soaring Anaheim Ducks.
Corey Perry had a goal and two assists, and Jamie McGinn scored his
second goal in two games with his new team as Anaheim rolled over
the Arizona Coyotes 5-1 Thursday at Gila River Arena.
Sharks 3, Canucks 2
Patrick Marleau scored on a two-on-one breakaway at 5:29 of the
third period as the San Jose Sharks rallied from a 2-0 deficit to
defeat the Vancouver Canucks 3-2 Thursday night.
It was Marleau's 92nd career game-winning goal.
Kings 3, Canadiens 2
Dwight King's third-period goal was the difference, and the Los
Angeles Kings held on for a 3-2 victory over the Montreal Canadiens
on Thursday night at Staples Center.
King stole the puck from Canadiens defenseman P.K. Subban at center
ice and scored on an unassisted tally at 5:16 of the third for a 3-1
edge. It was King's seventh goal this season.
