The NFL is also looking into the claim.
Apple told Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia, "The Falcons coach, one
of the coaches, was like, 'So do you like men?' It was like the
first thing he asked me. It was weird. I was just like, 'No.'
"He was like, 'If you're going to come to Atlanta, sometimes that's
how it is around here. You're going to have to get used to it.' I
guess he was joking, but they just ask most of these questions to
see how you're going to react."
Falcons head coach Dan Quinn later acknowledged the incident and
issued a statement, which read: "I am really disappointed in the
question that was asked by one of our coaches. I have spoken to the
coach that interviewed Eli Apple and explained to him how
inappropriate and unprofessional this was.
"I have reiterated this to the entire coaching staff and I want to
apologize to Eli for this even coming up. This is not what the
Atlanta Falcons are about and it is not how we are going to conduct
ourselves."

Cleveland Browns linebacker Armonty Bryant has been suspended for
the first four games of the 2016 season for violating the NFL policy
on performance-enhancing substances, the league announced.
Bryant was indicted on Feb. 10 on two counts of felony drug
possession stemming from a Christmas Day traffic stop in which he
and a former teammate, practice squad defensive back De'Ante
Saunders, were arrested.
Police claim they found marijuana, prescription drugs and a loaded
handgun in Saunders' car.
Bryant is eligible to participate in offseason workouts and
preseason practices and games. His suspension, without pay, begins
at the start of the regular season.
Bryant had 5 1/2 sacks last season before being deemed inactive for
the final two games due to the Christmas Day incident.

Buffalo Bills cornerback Leodis McKelvin was released.
McKelvin, 30, was limited last season to five starts after returning
from a broken ankle in Nov. 2014.
Rookie Ronald Darby graded out as one of the best cover men in the
AFC last season and helped to make McKelvin expendable.
The Bills have parted with several veterans this week, starting
Tuesday with the expected release of 31-year-old defensive end Mario
Williams, guard Kraig Urbik and running back Boobie Dixon.

Former Tennessee Titans and Washington Redskins defensive tackle
Albert Haynesworth has revealed that he almost died in November 2014
due to two brain aneurysms.
The 34-year-old Haynesworth also told Nashville radio station 104.5
The Zone and ESPN's Paul Kuharsky on Thursday that he deals with
memory loss issues.
"Nobody really knows: I almost died," Haynesworth told the radio
show. "I had two brain aneurysms that were nearly rupturing.
"I went and talked to my doctor in Florida, and he was like, 'Man,
your blood pressure is through the roof. I'm going to admit you.'
They did a lot of tests and found the aneurysm that was rupturing at
that point."
Haynesworth said surgery resulted in an 11-day stay in intensive
care at a Fort Lauderdale hospital.
"I've been OK. It's really hard to remember, and I'm not saying that
just because of the concussion thing," Haynesworth said, referring
to former NFL players suffering from the effects of head trauma.
"A lot of things, I just can't remember. I don't feel as sharp as I
used to as far as problem-solving and answering questions and
things."

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs was arrested early Friday
morning for leaving the scene of an accident and driving with a
suspended driver's license in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Police interviewed Suggs and said the six-time Pro Bowl linebacker
was not impaired but detained him after determining he had a
suspended license.
Suggs, who has 106.5 career sacks, is coming off season-ending
surgery after suffering a torn left Achilles' tendon injury in the
2015 opener against the Denver Broncos. (Editing by Larry Fine) ))
