Easter Egg Hunt
The annual Easter Egg Hunt will take place on Saturday, March 26 on
the Lincoln Park District driving range. (In case of rain, the event
will take place on the indoor tennis courts). The age groups will be
0-2, 3-4, 5-6, & 7-8. The 0-2 age group will start at 10:00am,
followed by ages 3-4 at 10:10am, ages 5-6 at 10:20am, and ages 7-8
at 10:30am. The Easter Bunny will be here too!

Recreational Baseball/Softball Registration
Registration for Summer 2016 recreational boys’ baseball and girls’
softball is going on now. The leagues that are being offered are 6U,
8U, 10U, 12U, and 14U. The 6U league (which is for kids ages 4-6) is
co-ed. We will be competing against other local area teams this
year. Registration runs through March 25. Call 217-732-8770 with
questions or stop by the park district front desk to register your
child.
Dog Obedience Class
The park district is teaming up with Timbercrest Veterinary Service
and Michael Bieser to offer a basic dog obedience course. The class
will run Sundays in April starting April 3 (four weeks) from
1:30-2:45pm in the Lincoln Park District Ballroom. The cost is $50
in district and $60 out of district. Timbercrest is offering a $20
voucher towards the cost of registration, and vouchers must be
picked up at one of Timbercrest’s two locations. Class will be
limited to 20 dogs and their handlers so sign up now! Call

Painting Classes
Jody Phillips is back offering painting classes at the Lincoln Park
District. The dates will be Thursday, 3/3, Saturday, 3/12, Monday,
3/28, Thursday, 3/31, and Saturday, 4/2. The March 3 date will be an
iris on glass painting, and the March 12 date will be a shamrock

Couch to 5K Training coming to the Lincoln Park District
Have you always wanted to run a mile, 2 miles or maybe a 5K? We
invite you to train with some of the most experienced and
knowledgeable runners in our community. Free to Lincoln Park
District members, $25.00 for non-members (8 week training schedule).
This is a great way to SPRING into FITNESS! Sign up at the park
district or like our Facebook Couch to 5K training page for more
details. Training will begin mid to late March.
Silver Sneakers Program
The Lincoln Park District is a participating facility of the
Healthways Silver Sneakers Program. Those who are age 65 and over
with qualifying insurance can utilize our facility free of charge.
We offer an indoor walking track, a huge circuit and weight area
along with Fit For Senior classes almost daily! Call your insurance
