Obituary
Frances E. Edwards, 94, of Lincoln, formerly of
Broadwell, passed away at 5:05 a.m. March 1, 2016 at
St. Clara’s Manor, Lincoln.
Frances was born December 25, 1921 in Roberta, GA,
the daughter of Benjamin F. and Sadie Dawson Walker.
She married Chester Cook August 13, 1946 in Kansas.
He preceded her in death in 1985. She then married
Ernest “Ernie” Edwards and he preceded her in death
April 11, 2012. Her parents, one son: Paul Rellias,
two sisters and two brothers also preceded her in
death.
Frances is survived by two daughters: Suzanne (Jim)
Cale of Lincoln and Jude (Bob) Harms of Lincoln; one
son: Fred (Sandy) Cook of Lincoln; three stepsons:
James (Sue) Edwards of Aledo, IL; Bill (Diane)
Edwards of Wright City, MO; Tim (Sue) Edwards of
Wisconsin; one brother: one daughter-in-law: Kay
Rellias of Vero Beach, FL; one brother John (Carol)
Walker of Pennsylvania; three sisters: Beverly (Jim)
Rogers of Chicago; Margaret Walker of Tinley Park,
IL; Carol Bagguley of Escondido, CA; five
grandchildren; three step grandchildren; five great
grandchildren and one great great grandchild. |
Frances retired from Eaton Corporation as a spot
welder in 1985. She was affiliated with Faith
Lutheran Church of Lincoln.
Services for Frances will be held at 10:00 a.m.
Friday, March 4, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader
Funeral Home, Lincoln, with Rev. Mark Peters
officiating. Burial will follow service at New Union
Cemetery, Lincoln. Visitation will be Thursday,
March 3, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in Frances’ name to St.
Clara’s Manor or Faith Lutheran Church.
