Obituary
John H. Buckner Sr., 74 of Lincoln passed away on
Friday, March 11, 2016 at 1:41p.m. at the Abraham
Lincoln Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March
16, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Old Union Cemetery in
Lincoln. Cremation rites have been accorded.
John Herschel Buckner Sr. was born on June 2, 1941
in Greenwood , Arkansas the son of Clarence Albert
and Donna Elsie Hartsfield Buckner. He was united in
marriage to Connie Jean Lee Constant on April 16,
1964 in Williamsville. She preceded him in death on
June 16, 2013 in Lincoln.
Surviving John are his children: Michelle Presswood,
John H. Buckner Jr., Lonnie Buckner all of Lincoln.
four sisters: Lois Bonat of Arkansas, Betty Bonnett
of Pekin, Jean Routson of Oklahoma, Lorita Vale of
Williamsville, five grandchildren: Ashley, Megan,
and Christine Presswood, Bittney and Nick Buckner.
Six great grandchildren. |
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister: Doris
Simpson, one brother: Raymond Buckner.
John retired from the Lake Fork Grain Elevator.
Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
