The Aggies forced four turnovers and went 5-for-5 from the field
in the final 33 seconds of regulation, including Danuel House's
3-pointer and Alex Caruso's three-point play.
Aggies guard Admon Gilder came up with a steal and a layup with two
seconds left to tie it.
Texas A&M (28-8) advances to play Oklahoma in the West Region
semifinals Thursday in Anaheim, Calif. Caruso finished with 25
points and nine rebounds to lead Texas A&M, and House added 22
points and eight boards. Guard Jeremy Morgan scored 36 points and
grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Northern Iowa (23-13).
Oregon 69, Saint Joseph's 64
SPOKANE, Wash. -- DeAndre' Bembry fumbled the ball away with 10
seconds remaining and allowed the No. 1 Ducks to escape Spokane
Arena with a win over the No. 8 Hawks.
Down only three after a missed Oregon free throw, Bembry lost his
dribble before the Hawks were able to set up the play as Tyler
Dorsey recovered the ball in a scrum for the Ducks. Dorsey converted
both free throws, effectively sealing the deal.
Dillon Brooks led all scorers with 25, Elgin Cook had 18 and Dorsey
chipped in 14 for the Ducks.
The teams traded leads four times with under three minutes
remaining. Oregon went on a 7-0 run to tie the game at 58,
responding to a 23-6 run by St. Joe's to storm back and shock the
arena by taking a late 58-51 lead.
Isaiah Miles and Bembry, had trouble getting going for Saint
Joseph's, scoring only a combined four points in the first half on 2
of 6 shooting. Bembry finished with 16, Miles had eight.
Wisconsin 66, Xavier 63
ST. LOUIS -- After tying the game on a 3-pointer with 11.7 seconds
left, Bronson Koenig swished a fall-away 3-pointer from in front of
the Badgers' bench as time expired to give Wisconsin a berth in the
East Region semifinals.
The second-seeded Musketeers (28-6) lost the ball on their final
possession when freshman guard Edmond Sumner was called for charging
with 4.3 seconds left. After a timeout with two seconds left, Koenig
took the inbounds pass and dribbled into the right corner, rising
for a 22-footer from the corner that never touched the rim. After a
short review, the shot was ruled good and the Badgers celebrated.
Koenig bagged a game-high 20 points for Wisconsin, which plays No. 6
Notre Dame on Friday night in Philadelphia. Ethan Happ and Vitto
Brown added 18 and 12 points, respectively, for the Badgers (22-12).
Jalen Reynolds and guard Remy Abell each tallied 13 points for
Xavier (28-6).
Notre Dame 76, Stephen F. Austin 75
NEW YORK -- A tip-in from Rex Pflueger with 1.5 seconds left gave
sixth-seeded Irish a win over the 14th-seeded Lumberjacks in a
second-round East Region game. The basket produced Pflueger's only
points of the game.
Demetrius Jackson led the Fighting Irish (23-11) with 18 points, and
Zach Auguste had 16 points and 15 rebounds.
Thomas Walkup topped the Lumberjacks (28-6) with 21 points and
Demetrious Floyd added 16 points. The loss snapped Stephen F.
Austin's 21-game losing streak, which was the longest among Division
I teams.
Villanova 87, Iowa 68
NEW YORK -- The second-seeded Wildcats are headed to the Sweet 16
for the first time in seven years after trouncing the seventh-seeded
Hawkeyes.

Villanova (31-5) plays Miami on Thursday in Louisville, Ky. The
Wildcats went to the Final Four in 2009 where they lost to eventual
champion North Carolina in the semifinals.
Josh Hart paced Villanova with 19 points. Ryan Arcidiacono added 16
points and Kris Jenkins had 15 points and six of the Wildcats' 23
assists.
Iowa (22-11) got 16 points from Jarrod Uthoff and 15 points from
Nicholas Baer. The Hawkeyes never got closer than 81-64 in the
second half.
Maryland 73, Hawaii 60
SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Terrapins took the Warriors' punches for the
better part of the 30 minutes but pulled away in the end for a
comfortable win and a ticket to the Sweet 16 for the first time
since 2003.
Melo Trimble scored 14 of his 24 points in the second half, hitting
13 of 14 from the free-throw line for Maryland (27-8). The Terps
head to the South Region semifinals to face top-seeded Kansas.
Michael Thomas had 19 points to pace Hawaii (28-6).
Oklahoma 85, VCU 81
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Buddy Hield scored 29 of his game-high 36 points in
the second half, and an Oklahoma-red dominated crowd roared its
approval as the second-seeded Sooners advanced to the Sweet 16.
Jordan Woodard scored 17 points and guard Isaiah Cousins added 15
for the Sooners (27-7).
Melvin Johnson led the Rams (25-11) with 23 points and backcourt
mate JeQuan Lewis added 22.
Syracuse 75, Middle Tennessee 60
ST. LOUIS -- The 10th-seeded Orange scored their second straight
blowout, eliminating the Blue Raiders 75-50 to earn a date opposite
11th-seeded Gonzaga in the Midwest Region semifinals Friday in
Chicago.
Michael Gbinije scored a game-high 23 points for Syracuse (21-13),
canning 10 of 14 shots from the field. Tyler Lydon came off the
bench to add 14 points and block six shots. Trevor Cooney tallied 12
points, and Tyler Roberson contributed 12 points and nine rebounds.
Darnell Harris led Middle Tennessee (25-10) with 11 points, but the
Blue Raiders couldn't find the range against Syracuse's active 2-3
zone. Middle Tennessee made only 19 of 64 shots from the field, 29.7
percent.
