The Cavaliers advanced to the Eastern Conference finals for
the second straight season and will await the winner of the
Toronto Raptors-Miami Heat series.
Kyrie Irving scored 21 points and had eight assists, and LeBron
James added 21 points, 10 rebounds, nine assists and made a big
defensive stand on the Hawks' final possession.
With Cleveland leading 100-99 with 10 seconds to play, James
tied up Atlanta point guard Dennis Schroder on a drive inside
the paint and won the ensuing jump ball to help the Cavs hang
on.
Schroder paced a balanced Atlanta offense with 21 points. He hit
back-to-back layups late in the fourth quarter, the second
putting the Hawks ahead 97-96 with 1:31 to play. However, he
couldn't past James on his last shot.
Thunder 111, Spurs 97
OKLAHOMA CITY -- Kevin Durant tied a playoff career high with 41
points, leading Oklahoma City to a victory over San Antonio that
tied the Western Conference semifinal series at two games
apiece.
Down by four points after three quarters, the Thunder outscored
the Spurs 34-16 in the fourth to pull away.
Durant shot 14-for-25 from the field and was 10-for-13 from the
free-throw line. Russell Westbrook added 14 points, 15 assists
and seven rebounds for the Thunder Steven Adams racked up 16
points and 11 rebounds, and Dion Waiters came off the bench to
score 17 points.
Tony Parker paced the Spurs with 22 points on 10-of-16 shooting.
Kawhi Leonard posted 21 points and six rebounds. LaMarcus
Aldridge scored 20 points and grabbed six boards in the loss.
