Obituary
Jane May, 88, of Lincoln passed away at 7:05 a.m.
May 6, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital,
Lincoln.
Jane was born September 6, 1927 in Decatur, the
daughter of Paul and Hazel Edes Bangert. She married
Deane May July 31, 1949 in Decatur. He survives in
Lincoln.
Also surviving Jane are her daughters: Rebecca Deane
Weatherford of Iowa City, IA; Cynthia Lucille
(Charles) Bickhaus of Denton, TX; Margaret Ann
(Brian) Ruble of Plano, TX; one brother: Dale (Jane)
Bangert of Milford, NH and five grandchildren:
Deanna Weatherford, Claire (Derek) Ma, Lynde
Weatherford, Cheryl Weatherford,. She was preceded
in death by her parents.

Jane was a teacher at Chester-East Lincoln School
from which she retired. She was a member of First
United Methodist Church of Lincoln; UMW Ruth Circle;
She was active in the Pink Shutter; Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital Auxiliary; Food pantry; Retired
Teachers Association. She enjoyed knitting, baking,
reading and playing pinochle.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements
were entrusted to Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home, Lincoln.
