There is still plenty of time to join a team, or form a team of
your own and get started raising money for the American Cancer
Society.
This year’s Relay will feature a return of many of the same fun
activities participants have come to expect. But there are also
going to be some new additions to the day that no one will want to
miss out on.
New this year – Relay for Life Lunch on June 18th
This year instead of holding the traditional May Brunch fundraiser,
there will be a Relay for Life lunch served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
at the Relay site. The lunch is open to the public but tickets are
required. Tickets will cost $8 for adults and $5 for children. The
lunch will feature a picnic-style buffet. Look for the menu to be
revealed in the near future. This does NOT replace the survivor
dinner that will be held later in the evening.
New this year – Vendor Fair at the Relay
Be ready to browse and shop some of your favorite brands at the
Relay. Contact Tabatha at 217-737-3615 if you are interested in
reserving booth space.
New this year – Butterfly Stories
Butterfly Stories: Hope takes flight. More information to come about
a hidden butterfly in Logan County.
Fundraisers
50/50 Raffles
Relay for Life has permission for any team to hold a 50/50 Raffle in
Lincoln and Logan County now through June 18th.
Food Sales
If a team plans to sell food at the Relay, they must apply for a
one-day food permit with the Logan County Department of Public
Health. The Health Department is located in Lincoln on Third Street.
Let us help you spread the word
Any team planning to hold a fundraiser between now and Relay day is
asked to contact Tammy, so that your information can be added to the
