 Shirley is the mother of six children. Here she is pictured with
her children: Jo Ellen Gilbert of Paris, Illinois; Kathryn Steinfort,
of Florida; Linda Sheehan of Lincoln, George Allspach of Mount
Pulaski and Jerilee Gibbs of Crawford, Colorado. Shirley’s husband
Edward is deceased, and they also had a son David, who is deceased.
Shirley is “Granny” to 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren
with a couple more on the way. The Allspach family is a
well-respected farming family in the Logan County community. Shirley
makes her home these days at Vonderlieth Living Center in Mount
Pulaski.
