[May 13, 2016]  LINCOLN -  Biliie B. (Bill) Smith, 85, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 12:37 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation: Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

Service: None at this time

Obituary

Biliie B. (Bill) Smith, 85, of Lincoln passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 12:37 a.m. at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the Peasley Funeral Home.

No Service is scheduled at this time. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Burial will be at a later date at the New Union Cemetery in Lincoln.

Billie B. Smith was born on September 14, 1930 in Lincoln the son of Herbert B. and Ethel Woods Smith. He was united in marriage to Norma L. Patton on February 3, 1952 in Normal. She survives.

Also surviving are his children: Kimberly McCarty, Karen Tibbs, Kristy Yarcho. Nine Grandchildren Fourteen Great grandchildren,

One sister: Pat Deck.

 

Funeral Director

He was preceded in death by his infant daughter: Linda Denise Smith.

Billie graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1949 then served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed at the Eaton Corp. for 26 years.

He is a member of the Lincoln Christian Church and Elks Lodge # 914. He help to start the Lincoln Community High School Booster Club.

Memorials may be made to the Lincoln Community High School Basketball Program.

Peasley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
