Cooper Hake and Garrett Aeilts stayed cool on the mound and
stopped an Olympia rally to secure a split on Saturday.
The Railers dropped the first game 7-0, managing just two hits.
But the second game saw Railsplitter batters find their grove.
A four run fifth inning, sparked by hits from Aaron Hopp, Andrew
Yount, and a sacrifice by Cooper Hake put Lincoln in front.
Hake then went on to pitch himself out of a bases loaded jam in
the Spartan's half of the sixth inning. Aeilts came on for the
save, and the Railers were able to close out the game with a 5-4
victory.
LCHS also honored seniors Aron Hopp, Ryan Thomas, Ben Steiner,
Garrett Aeilts, KJ Fry, Karter Browne, Cooper Hake, Jacob Woods
and Derek Jacobs before the game.
