The deal is pending a physical.
Lincecum has not pitched since June 27 because of a degenerative hip
problem. He had arthroscopic hip surgery Sept. 3.
He has spent his entire nine-year career with the San Francisco
Giants. Last season in 15 starts he compiled a 7-4 record with a
4.13 ERA.

While the Sunday's brawl between Toronto and Texas was the main
topic of conversation on Monday, the Blue Jays were bolstering their
bench by acquiring infielder/outfielder Jimmy Paredes on waivers
from the Baltimore Orioles.
Paredes had yet to appear in a game for the Orioles this season. A
sprained wrist landed him on the disabled list and the Orioles had
hoped to sneak him through waivers before sending him to a rehab
assignment in Triple-A.

The Pittsburgh Pirates put outfielder Starling Marte on the
paternity list after the birth of his daughter.
Marte, the Pirates' leading hitter (.326) will miss at least
Monday's game against the Atlanta Braves, but not more than three
games.

Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley will be examined
Tuesday by the same doctor who performed the surgery in November to
repair a torn labrum that Brantley suffered in September.

The Indians fear they might have rushed Brantley back into action
too quickly after the surgery.

Detroit center fielder Cameron Maybin made his season debut after
being activated from the 15-day disabled list on Monday.
Maybin suffered a wrist fracture when hit by a pitch during spring
training, then sprained his shoulder during one of his rehab stints.
