[May 18, 2016]  LINCOLN - Thelma I. Leever, 96, of Lincoln, passed away at 12:30 a.m. May 11, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Visitation: 10:00 a.m. to Noon Monday, May 16, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln

Service: Monday, May 16, at Noon at the funeral home

Obituary

Thelma I. Leever, 96, of Lincoln, passed away at 12:30 a.m. May 11, 2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital, Lincoln.

Thelma was born November 5, 1919 in Rural Chestnut, the daughter of Earl and Irene Aughenbaugh Donnan. She married Lester H. Leever August 27, 1939 in Bowling Green, MO. He preceded her in death July 21, 2001.

Thelma was a cook at Beason School for 30 years. She was a member of Beason United Methodist Church.

Surviving Thelma are three sons: Robert (Judy Haywood) Leever of Decatur; Dennis (Rhonda) Leever of Phoenix, AZ; Rick (Cindy) Leever of Charleston, SC and one daughter: Judith Medaris of Mt. Pulaski; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Wilburn and Arnold, and son-in-law: Larry Medaris.

Services for Thelma will be Monday, May 16, 2016 at twelve noon at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home, Lincoln with Pastor Darrell Howard officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until 12 noon prior to the service. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery, Beason. Family request memorials may be given in Thelma’s name to Beason United Methodist Church or Beason Fire and Rescue Squad.
