MOUNT
PULASKI - Kamryn Aylesworth, daughter of Randy and Kelly Aylesworth
of Mount Pulaski, has been named May- Senior-of-the-month at Mount
Pulaski High School. She was selected for this honor based on the
criteria of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.

Kamryn stays very involved in school activities. For the past 4
years she has been a member of Student Council, Track, Drama Club,
Concert/Pep Band, and Spirit Squad. She was also involved in
Cheerleading for two years, and was also a member of the prom
committee and yearbook committee. She was the senior class secretary
and a leader for the Legacy Groups at MPHS. She is also serving as
Chapter Secretary for FFA.
Outside of school Kamryn stays equally as busy. She is a member of
the MP Christian Church Youth Group and a Little Galilee Equine Camp
Counselor. Kamryn is very involved in 4-H as well. She is a 4-H
Hippology 1st Regional/State Qualifier, 4-H Horse Bowl Team 1st
regional/state qualifier, earned a 4-H record book award, and 4-H
citizen scientist, just to name a few of her accomplishments. She
has also been named Central IL Saddle Club High Point Champion,
Decatur Trail Riders Club High Point Champion, Decatur Trail Riders
Club Reserve Champion, and Shelby County Silver Spurs Buckle Show
Champion.

Kamryn plans on attending Blackhawk East then transferring to SIUC to study
equine science/horse science technology and vet tech.
The Senior-of-the-Month program is sponsored by Johnson’s Food Center and
Johnson True Value Hardware. Monthly award winners receive a $50 award paid to
the college they plan to attend. They are also in the running for the $500
Senior-of-the-Year award sponsored by Illinois National Bank.
