Mount Pulaski High School Class of 2016

 

[May 25, 2016]  MOUNT PULASKI - Mount Pulaski High School commencement was held on May 21st, at 4 p.m. in the Ed Butkovich gymnasium. The ceremony began with the posting of colors by Mount Pulaski American Legion Post #447. The processional, “Pomp and Circumstance” was played by the Mount Pulaski High School band, under the direction of Mr. David Helm. Miss Morgan Kinnaird led the Pledge of Allegiance.

Opening remarks were given by Miss Miranda Hilliard. Mr. Samuel Koehl, 2016 senior class president, addressed the group and Mr. Terry Morgan gave remarks.

Miss Elizabeth Siebert was name Salutatorian and Mr. Brian Batchelder was named Valedictorian, both addressed the group.

Students who had a 3.5 or above cumulative grade point average were awarded honor pins. A senior class slideshow, prepared by Miss Hannah Freer, Miss Madeline Davis, and Miss Morgan Kinnaird, was shown. Diplomas were awarded to thirty-nine graduates by school board members Mr. John Stewart and Mrs. Ashley Combs. Closing remarks were given by Miss Elizabeth Ford. The Mt. Pulaski American Legion retired the colors, and the recessional, played by the high school band, completed the ceremony.
