			Lincoln passed away on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 12:20 p.m. at the 
			Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.  |

							Obituary 
							Thomas J. Coady, 82, of Lincoln passed away on 
							Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 12:20 p.m. at the Abraham 
							Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln. 
							 
							A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, May 21, 
							2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in 
							Lincoln with Rev. John Pham officiating. 
							 
							Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery in Lincoln. 
							 
							Thomas John Coady was born on June 2, 1933 in 
							Springfield the son of Edward J. and Nel Marky 
							Coady. He was united in marriage to Peggy Elkins on 
							December 6, 1952 in Elkhart. She preceded him in 
							death on August 14, 2014. 
							 
							He is survived by his children: Mary B. (Joe) Hoiles 
							of Frisco, Tx..and Robert M. Coady of Arcadia, 
							Fl..Two grandchildren: Erin Michelle Coady and 
							Thomas L. Coady.Two great grandchildren. 
							 
							One sister Mary Estell Young of Tampa , Fl.

                He was preceded in death by one son: Thomas J. Coady Jr., two 
				brothers: Lawrence Coady and Edward Coady. 
				 
				Thomas graduated from Lincoln Community High School in 1951. 
				 
				He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and Knights of 
				Columbus Council # 1250. He was also a 4th degree Knight. 
				 
				He retired after 40 years from Shell Petroleum where he owned 
				and operated Gas Stations in Lincoln and Decatur. 
				 
				Memorials may be made to The Christian Village , American Cancer 
				society or the Alzheimer’s Foundation. 
				 
				Peasley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
