The host Crusaders faced the Cougars of Illini Central.
In the 7th grade contest the Crusaders proved victorious in a
back-and-forth nail-biter, that was decided on a last-second
layup by Darren Stevens. The final tally was 31-30.
Leading the scoring for the Crusaders was Andrew Graue with 17
points, followed by Drew McCray and Stevens with six a piece.
Rounding out the scoring was Everett Maaks with two.
In the 8th Grade contest, the Crusaders won handily against the
Cougars by a score of 62-9.
Leading the Crusaders was Dylan Singleton with 29 points,
followed by Jared Merriman with 10, Jared Helton with 8, Nathan
Fulscher with 6, Isaiah Wahab with 4, Andrew Graue with 3 and
Trent Koehler with 2. The Crusaders will now face West
Lincoln-Broadwell today (Tuesday) at 6:30 p.m. for the 7th grade
game and 7:45 p.m. for the 8th Graders. |
