			Homecoming 
			Fall Play and Basketball Games among 
			Homecoming Events; Public Invited

			LINCOLN 
			- Homecoming Week commences at Lincoln College Monday. The 
			fun-filled week includes a variety of events for students, alumni, 
			and the community.

			 A new class for the Lincoln College Athletic Hall of Fame, men’s 
			and women’s basketball games, tours of campus attractions and the 
			College’s fall play are among the festivities. 
			 
			Lincoln College’s Student Government Association and Student 
			Activities Board planned spirit days for students under this year’s 
			Homecoming theme: “Game On”. 
			 
			Homecoming week runs through Saturday, November 5. In addition to 
			Spirit Week activities for students, several events are scheduled 
			and open to the public including: 
				- Fall Play: Neil Simon’s Barefoot in the Park, Lincoln 
				College’s Theatre department, along with community members, open 
				its fall play on Thursday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m. in the 
				Johnston Center for Performing Arts. Barefoot in the Park 
				follows Paul and Corie Bratter who are newlyweds in every sense 
				of the word. After a six day honeymoon, they get a surprise 
				visit from Corie's loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker 
				during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic Velasco, where 
				everything that can go wrong, does. 
 
				 
				
				  
				 
				Tickets are $5 for general admission and $1 for students and 
				seniors. Tickets can be purchased at the door or by calling the 
				Johnston Center Box Office at 735-7280. The play runs November 
				3-6 and November 10-13. 
  
				- Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet, Friday, November 4 in the 
				Davidson-Sheffer Gymnasium. Includes a cocktail reception from 
				5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the awards 
				program. The 2016 Hall of Fame Class includes alumni Kim (Green) 
				Wize ‘86 female basketball player, Bill Porritt ’70 male 
				swimmer, Mike De Ment ’72 baseball player, John Swart ’60 
				basketball player under Norm Kaye, and men’s former basketball 
				coach, Norm Kaye.

				- Lynx Classic Women’s Basketball Tournament, Friday, November 
				4 in the Lincoln Center Jack D. Nutt Arena. Lady Lynx compete 
				against Moraine Valley Community College at 7:30 p.m.
 
  
				- Tour of Creekside Outdoor Center for Environmental Education 
				is planned for Saturday, November 5. A bus will leave from the 
				Lincoln Center parking lot at 10:00 a.m. There is no charge for 
				this event.
 
  
				- Lincoln Heritage Museum Tours are planned in the Lincoln 
				Heritage Museum on the campus of Lincoln College on Saturday, 
				November 5 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Audio-visual tours will 
				be provided for a discounted rate of $4. 
 
  
				- Homecoming Basketball Games, Saturday, November 5 at 2:00 
				p.m. the Lady Lynx will play Blackhawk College and at 4:00 p.m. 
				the men’s team will compete against Robert Morris. Both games 
				are played in the Lincoln Center Jack D. Nutt Arena.
