WLB takes double wins at the Logan County Girls Basketball Championships

[November 02, 2016]  The West Lincoln-Broadwell Lady Wolverines brought home both the Seventh and Eighth grade Logan County Girls Basketball Championships for 2016.

The seventh grade team defeated Chester-East Lincoln in the semi-final game by a score of 46-14. Kloe Froebe led all scorers with 23 as Asia Sales added 15.
 

The seventh grade team then faced off against a young talented Mount Pulaski team in the championship game. The Lady Wolverines earned the championship title by a score of 47-20. Kloe Froebe and Asia Sales led all scorers with game highs of 19 points a piece.
 


Eight Grade Champions

This weekend was the eighth grade Lady Wolverines turn as they too faced off against CEL in the semi-final game. The Lady Wolverines pulled off a 56-3. Kloe Froebe led all scorers with 18 points, as Asia Sales added 14, Emily Paulus 10, Madison Orebaugh and Karissa Bowman put up 6 points a piece.

The Lady Wolverines also took on Mount Pulaski for the 8th grade Championship. WLB came out on top by a score of 55-8. Kloe Froebe led all scorers with 14 as Asia Sales provided 13. Emily Paulus and Madison Orebaugh put in 11 points a piece to assist in the balanced scoring by WLB.

With this victory, the Lady Wolverines have won four straight 8th grade County Championships. Many of the girls that helped start this program were on hand to watch the game.
