Millikin senior libero Cassidy Kingery (Heyworth, H.S.) was named
the CCIW Player of the Year, becoming the first Big Blue player
since Audrey Krajec in 2014 to win the conference's top honor.
Kingery was a CCIW All-Conference first team selection along with
junior middle hitter Alora Goodey (Lincoln, H.S.) and junior outside
hitter Erin Syversen (Pewaukee, Wis., Waukesha West H.S.). Millikin
setter Emily Mihalkanin (Willowbrook, Hinsdale South H.S.) and
sophomore middle hitter Cortney Bohn (Mahomet, Mahomet Seymour H.S.)
were named to the CCIW All-Conference Second Team.
Kiick won her second-straight CCIW Coach of the Year honor after
leading her team to CCIW regular season and tournament titles. The
Big Blue will make their second NCAA postseason appearance in the
last three years this week.
Kingery led the CCIW in digs per set in conference matches averaging
5.63. Overall she had 710 digs on the season. Kingery’s play on
defense was a key factor in Millikin leading the conference in
opponent hitting percentage.
Goodey had 72 kills in CCIW play with a .396 attacking
percentage. On the season, Goodey had 276 kills and 63 blocks.
Syversen earned her second straight First Team selection. She had
119 kills in conference matches ranking third in kills per set at
3.97. Overall, Syversen had 550 kills.

Mihalkanin led the CCIW in assists per set in conference action with
10.5. Overall she had 1197 assists on the year. Her setting helped
Millikin led the conference in kills per set and rank second in
hitting percentage. This was Mihalkanin’s second straight Second
Team selection.
Bohn had 73 kills in CCIW play and averaged .53 blocks per set.
Overall she had 280 kills and 74 blocks on the season.
The all-conference team, which was chosen by the CCIW's head
volleyball coaches, featured a first team of 11 student-athletes and
a second team of 11 student-athletes from seven different CCIW
institutions.
