BOSTON -- The Boston Bruins scored four goals
in a span of 4:01 in the first period and cruised to a 5-2 victory
over the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night.
Trailing 1-0, Torey Krug, Matt Beleskey, Austin Czarnik and Tim
Schaller all scored, knocking Sergei Bobrovsky from the net. David
Backes scored in the second period.
Tuukka Rask, beaten early by a Nick Foligno goal, stopped just 15
shots (two saves in the third period) and raised his season record
to 8-1. He allowed a goal with 11:20 left in the game when the
Bruins won a defensive zone faceoff and defenseman Colin Miller had
the puck roll off his stick, by Rask and into the net -- the goal
credited to Sam Gagner, his fourth of the season.

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Jakob Silfverberg scored goals 3:07 apart in the
middle of the second period as Anaheim defeated Carolina at PNC
Arena.
Silfverberg also assisted on Ryan Kesler's fifth of the season 4:46
into the second as well as his empty-netter late as the Ducks broke
open a scoreless first period with three goals in a span of 7:50 in
the second.
Teuvo Teravainen and Victor Rask scored for the Hurricanes.
Wild 4, Penguins 2
PITTSBURGH -- Eric Staal scored early in the third period, Devan
Dubnyk turned aside 39 shots and Minnesota dealt Pittsburgh its
first loss at home in regulation this season.
Staal had a hand -- and a stick -- in three of Minnesota's four
goals as a lineup infused with several minor league call-ups dropped
Pittsburgh's home-ice record to 6-1-1.
Jason Pominville, Charlie Coyle and Nino Niederreiter also scored
for the Wild.
Sidney Crosby scored his ninth goal in eight games and Patric
Hornqvist scored the Penguins.

of the third period to cap a comeback as San Jose beat Florida at
BB&T Center.

Sharks. Joel Ward, Patrick Marleau, Tierney and Justin Braun
recorded assists for San Jose.
Jason Demers scored twice for the Panthers while Jared McCann,
Aleksander Barkov and Jaromir Jagr had assists.
Canadiens 4, Kings 1
MONTREAL -- Montreal put together one of its best efforts in recent
outings to skate away with a win against Los Angeles at the Bell
Centre.
Paul Byron, Daniel Carr, Phillip Danault and Alex Galchenyuk scored
for the Canadiens, who won their third straight.
Tyler Toffoli scored for the Kings.

their power play at Amalie Arena.

Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov and Tyler Johnson.

many games -- for the Islanders.
Red Win 3, Canucks 1

goal.
Jets 3, Coyotes 2
