[November 12, 2016]   Nov 11 (The Sports Xchange) - Highlights of National Basketball Association games on Friday:

Cavaliers 105, Wizards 94

Kyrie Irving scored 29 points and LeBron James added 27 points and 10 rebounds as the Cleveland Cavaliers rebounded from their first loss of the season with a 105-94 win over the Washington Wizards.

John Wall had 28 points for the Wizards (2-6), but did not score after halftime until 3:53 remained and the Cavaliers had opened up a double-digit lead.

Raptors 113, Hornets 11

DeMar DeRozan scored 34 points and the Toronto Raptors pulled out a 113-111 victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

The Raptors led by as many as 16 in the first half but had to rally from a 10-point deficit early in the fourth quarter.

They ultimately won with a 12-0 run that turned a 102-97 deficit into a 109-102 lead with 28.3 seconds left, with DeRozan scoring eight of the 10.

Jazz 87, Magic 74

Guard Gordon Hayward had 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists to lead the Utah Jazz to an 87-74 victory over the Orlando Magic.

Jazz center Rudy Gobert had 13 points, 13 rebounds and three blocked shots and forward Derrick Favors scored 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds.

The Magic were led by Evan Fournier with 21 points and reserve D.J. Augustin had 19 points in 24 minutes.

Orlando made only three of 21 shots in the fourth quarter.

76ers 109, Pacers 105 (OT)

Rookie center Joel Embiid scored a season-high 25 points, including the go-ahead three-point play with 55.1 seconds left in overtime, as the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Indiana Pacers for their first victory of the season.

Ersan Ilyasova added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Philadelphia. Nik Stauskas also scored 14 points for the Sixers, and Richaun Holmes collected eight points and 12 rebounds.

Paul George scored 26 points to top Indiana.

Celtics 115, NY Knicks 87

Isaiah Thomas was one shy of his season high with 29 points as the Boston Celtics torched the New York Knicks to the tune of a 115-87 blowout victory.

Kelly Olynyk scored 19 points and Avery Bradley added 15 for Boston.

Kristaps Porzingis had 14 points to lead New York, while Carmelo Anthony finished with 12 points, all in the first quarter. He was ejected after picking up a pair of technical fouls late in the first half.

Clippers 110, Thunder 108

Blake Griffin scored 25 points to lead the Los Angeles Clippers to an 110-108 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Griffin made 10 of 20 shots from the field and grabbed six rebounds. Jamal Crawford came off the bench to score 19 points and Chris Paul contributed 17 points and 10 assists.

Russell Westbrook paced the Thunder with 29 points, nine assists and 14 rebounds. Victor Oladipo added 18 points and Andre Roberson and Enes Kanter each scored 13 points.

Spurs 96, Pistons 86

Pau Gasol scored a season-high 21 points on 10-of-16 shooting as the San Antonio Spurs shrugged off a late charge and defeated the Detroit Pistons.

A free throw and back-to-back driving buckets by the Pistons' Ish Smith cut San Antonio's lead to 89-84 with 2:59 to play.

After Smith missed on a third drive to the basket a minute later, Kawhi Leonard poured in an arcing three-pointer to provide the Spurs a comfortable cushion for the end of the game.

Leonard added 17 points while LaMarcus Aldridge scored 14 points and pulled down 12 rebounds for the Spurs.

The Pistons got 20 points and a game-high 17 rebounds from Andre Drummond.

Trail Blazers 122, Kings 120 (OT)

The Portland Trail Blazers fought off the Sacramento Kings in overtime as they traded blows and big shots in the extra period, with the lead changing hands eight times.

With Portland leading 119-118, Sacramento's Darren Collison made two free throws at the 33.8-second mark, following a loose ball foul on Blazers guard Damian Lillard.

About six seconds later, Portland's Meyers Leonard was fouled going to the basket, and he sank two free throws for a 121-120 lead.

Rudy Gay missed a 17-footer for the Kings, and Portland's Allen Crabbe rebounded and was fouled with 10.1 seconds left. Crabbe hit one of two free throws to make the score 122-120.

Cousins failed on a three-point attempt, but the ball went off the Blazers and out of bounds with 6.6 seconds remaining.

Gay, however, couldn't connect on a well-guarded fadeaway in the final second.
