after he was injured late in Sunday's game against the Washington
Redskins.
Vikings coach Mike Zimmer said Long, who was carted off the field,

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, who was listed as questionable
for Sunday's game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, will have to wait
at least another week before returning this season.
The Cowboys opted to make Romo inactive for the ninth time in a row.
He will have another week in his recovery to get ready for next
Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Romo was hoping to back up rookie Dak Prescott this week as he works
to return from a compression fracture in his back that occurred
during an Aug. 25 preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks.

New York Jets quarterback Bryce Petty made his first NFL start on
Sunday against the Los Angeles Rams in place of Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Petty was 19-of-32 for 163 yards in a 9-6 loss to the Los Angeles
Rams. New York is on a bye next week and Jets coach Todd Bowles said
he is not ready to think about who will start their next game.
Fitzpatrick, listed as questionable with a minor knee sprain, was
injured last Sunday in a loss to the Miami Dolphins. He finished the
game and practiced on a limited basis this week.

half of Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with guard
Kyle Long and tackle Bobby Massie leaving with injuries.

off the field and Massie suffered a concussion and will not return.
Bears coach John Fox did not provide an update on Long other to say
the ankle was "pretty swollen".

after both missed last week's game with injuries. Ted Larsen stepped

tackle.

Los Angeles Rams cornerback Lamarcus Joyner and defensive end Eugene
Sims each left with injuries in the second quarter of Sunday's game
against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium.
Joyner, who was listed as questionable on Friday's injury report due
to a back injury, hurt his ankle with 3:27 left in the period when
he fell to all fours after a play deep in Jets territory.
Trainers tended to Joyner, who eventually got up and walked off the
field slowly without any assistance. The Rams announced his return
as questionable.
The Rams said Sims was being evaluated for a concussion.

Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan was ejected for making
contact with an official with 10:24 left in the first quarter of
Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers.
Before Tennessee ran a first-down play from its 15-yard line, Green
Bay nose tackle Letroy Guion was flagged for encroachment and
hitting quarterback Marcus Mariota after the whistle for a personal
foul.
Lewan came to Mariota's defense and an official stepped between him
and Guion. Lewan contacted the official and was immediately ejected
by referee Jeff Triplette.
