Obituary
Betty M. Cates, 80 of Lincoln went to be with her
husband on his birthday at 8:15 p.m. November 9,
2016 at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital.
Betty was born March 8, 1936 in Arcola, daughter of
Leslie and Hilma (Stratton) Depoister Sr. She
married Harold Dean Cates on January 9, 1954 in
Atlanta. He preceded her in death on November 12,
2005.
Surviving Betty is her daughter: Melissa (George)
White of Lincoln, her grandchildren: Matthew
(Brianna) Graham, Marissa White, Adam White, and
Jennifer (Matt Estes) White; seven
great-grandchildren: Callie Estes, Kori Estes, Macie
Estes, Harper Estes, Emma White, Emmett Falk. She
was preceded in death by her parents. |
A private family celebration of life will be held at
a later date.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home has been
entrusted with Betty’s care.
