Obituary
Alice Kurtz, 80, formerly of Lincoln passed away at
10:54 a.m. on November 12, 2016 at Rosewood Care
Center of Galesburg.
Alice was born on August 24, 1936 in Mt. Vernon, IN;
daughter of Alvin and Minnie Renschler Schneider.
She married William Kurtz on January 9, 1965 in
Lincoln. He preceded her in death on February 26,
2013.
Surviving Alice is one son: Bill (Jessie) Kurtz of
Galesburg, one step-daughter Kathy (Tom) Bruce of
Lincoln, three grandchildren, two
step-grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and
several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in
death by her parents and three brothers, Eugene,
Lloyd, and Robert.
Alice was a farmer in Lincoln. She was a member of
Immanuel Lutheran Church, the White Shrine, and the
Breast Cancer Support of Logan County. |
Services for Alice will be 11:00 a.m. Monday
November 21, 2016 at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral
Home in Lincoln, with Rev. Candida Turner
officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to
service. Burial at Zion Cemetery will follow the
service.
Memorials may be made in Alice’s name to the Breast
Cancer Support of Logan County.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln have
been entrusted with Alice’s care.
