 NEW
ORLEANS -- Anthony Davis returned from a one-game absence, Jrue
Holiday made his season debut and that duo led the New Orleans
Pelicans to a 113-101 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers on
Friday night in the Smoothie King Center.

Davis, who missed an 89-82 loss at Orlando on Thursday because of a
bruised quad, scored a game-high 38 points. Holiday, who sat out
training camp and missed the first 12 games of the season to be with
his wife Lauren, who gave birth to the couple's first child and
underwent brain surgery, came off the bench to score 21.

Terrence Jones, who started in Davis' place and scored a career-high
26 points against Orlando, came off the bench to score 15. Tim
Frazier, who has started at point guard in Holiday's absence, scored
			12 and E'Twaun Moore had 11.

 Grizzlies 80, Mavericks 64

DALLAS -- Chandler Parsons scored 12 points in his return to Dallas
and Memphis breezed by the Mavericks at American Airlines Center.

The Grizzlies finished their four-game trip with three straight wins
to improve to 3-3 on the road this season.

Parsons was introduced to a smattering of boos in his first game
back since leaving the Mavs after two injury-plagued years. The
small forward thought he might get a negative reception after opting
out of his contract with Dallas this past summer.

Parsons began this season on the mend and remains on a minutes'
restriction, but led the charge as Memphis began to pull away in the
third quarter. He matched his season high in scoring and knocked
down three 3-pointers after making just two in his first five games.

 Thunder 124, Nets 105

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Russell Westbrook collected his fourth
triple-double of the season to lead Oklahoma City to a victory over
Brooklyn at the Chesapeake Energy Arena.

Westbrook posted 30 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to reach 41
career triple-doubles. He also became the second player in NBA
history to record 13,000 points, 3,400 rebounds and 4,500 assists in
his first 600 career NBA games. Oscar Robertson was first.

Oklahoma City's Victor Oladipo added 26 points and six assists.
Center Steven Adams collected 15 points and six boards.

			 Raptors 113, Nuggets 111 (OT)
DENVER -- DeMar DeRozan scored 30 points, Kyle Lowry scored 18 and
had 13 assists and Toronto beat Denver in overtime.

Terrence Ross scored 16, including a 3-pointer in overtime that put
			the Raptors ahead for good.

Wilson Chandler had 25 points and 10 rebounds and Emmanuel Mudiay
also scored 25 points to go with nine assists for Denver. Danilo
Gallinari scored 21 points and hit all 13 of his free throws for the
Nuggets. He was a rebound shy of a double-double.

 Cavaliers 104, Pistons 81

CLEVELAND -- Kyrie Irving scored 25 points and passed for a
season-high 11 assists, LeBron James scored 21 points and Kevin Love
had 12 points and 13 rebounds in a win against Detroit.

J.R. Smith passed Dirk Nowitzki for 15th place on the 3-point career
			list and now has 1,706.

The Pistons fell to 1-7 on the road and continued their miserable
struggles away from the Palace, shooting 31 percent. The Cavs,
meanwhile, continue to roll. They have made at least 10 3-pointers
in every game this season, an NBA record that is now at 12 games and
climbing. Irving's assists were one off his career high while
Tristan Thompson also matched his season high with 14 rebounds.

[to top of second column] |

			Hornets 100,
			Hawks 96
CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Nicolas Batum scored 24 points, Cody Zeller
scored 23 and Kemba Walker had 21 as Charlotte rallied from a
10-point deficit in the fourth quarter to beat Atlanta.

Charlotte took control after Atlanta's Dwight Howard was ejected for
a Flagrant-2 foul with 5:38 remaining. Atlanta led 89-86 at the
			time.

The Hawks had led 85-75 with 9:49 remaining. Batum's 24 points were
a season high. He also had 10 rebounds.

 Suns 116, Pacers 96

INDIANAPOLIS -- Phoenix hasn't been road warriors, but it took
advantage of an Indiana squad missing All-Star Paul George and
3-point shooter C.J. Miles for a victory at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

The Suns won away from home for just the second time in eight games
this season, thanks mostly to a 78-35 edge in bench scoring. The
visitors trailed only once, by one point for one third-quarter
possession, before pulling away in a surprisingly easy rout.

Three reserves led the Suns in scoring as guard Brandon Knight had
17, forward Jared Dudley 16 and forward-center Alan Williams 15.
 Warriors 104, Celtics 88

BOSTON -- Golden State put on a clinic in the third quarter at TD
			Garden.

Ahead by seven at halftime, the Warriors went on a 24-3 run --
capped by an 18-0 streak -- to break open the competitive game and
power to their sixth straight victory -- a blowout of undermanned
			Boston.

Boston, still playing without the injured Al Horford (concussion)
and Jae Crowder (ankle), were in the game and trained 55-48 at the
break. The Warriors then outscored Boston 31-9 in the third quarter
and that was all as Golden State improved to 10-2.

 Spurs 116, Lakers 107

LOS ANGELES -- LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard scored 23 points
each to lead seven San Antonio players in double figures, and the
Spurs held off Los Angeles at Staples Center.

Leonard also collected 11 rebounds and seven assists for the Spurs,
who posted their fifth consecutive win. Pau Gasol and Tony Parker
contributed 16 points apiece. Parker dished out seven assists.

Lou Williams scored 24 points to lead the Lakers, who have lost six
straight to the Spurs. Nick Young added 22 points, while Jordan
Clarkson chipped in 20. Young's streak of converting 35 straight
free throws, dating back to last season, ended with a miss in the
first quarter. Young made 25 in a row this season.

 Clippers 121, Kings 115

SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Blake Griffin scored 29 points, and J.J.
Redick tallied 22 of his 26 in the first half, and Los Angeles held
on in the second half to beat Sacramento at Golden 1 Center.

Chris Paul added 12 assists, none bigger than his alley-oop pass
from the top of the key to DeAndre Jordan for a dunk and a 119-115
lead with 1:36 left. He also finished with 11 points and canned a
3-pointer from the top of the arc with 4:39 left in the final
quarter that stopped a 9-0 Sacramento run.

Until then, the game belonged to Los Angeles. The Clippers led 73-54
at halftime and extended it to 106-86 less than a minute into the
final quarter before Sacramento's last-gasp effort.
