Damon Priddy, Lincoln Hampton Inn, featured in Hotel Management magazine
National hotel industry publication highlights 33 leading GM's throughout the country in their annual "GMs to Watch" November issue

[November 21, 2016]  NEW YORK, NY. – Announcing a special recognition appearing in Hotel Management magazine's November issue, Damon Priddy of Lincoln, Illinois has been selected as part of the magazines 33 “GMs to Watch,” special issue.

To be selected, general managers can be in any stage of their career, representing any segment or property type and are experts in their field. Receiving hundreds of nominations, this is Hotel Management’s fifth year featuring “GMs to Watch.” With a dynamic pool of nominations to choose from, the publication selected the top thirty three by reviewing nomination packages, including information on professional goals, challenges, experience and more. Hotel guest reviews were also considered, ensuring nominees’ hotels provide outstanding customer service – an essential requirement for selection.

Mr. Priddy has been involved in the hospitality industry all of his life, beginning at his first property at age 15. He attended a Hospitality & Tourism Academy throughout high school, offering him a glimpse into the industry he would soon spend nearly 20 years being a part of.  Priddy has a wide variety of experiences in restaurants, food and beverage management and hotel management. Priddy is currently the Area General Manager of two properties in Lincoln, the Hampton by Hilton and Holiday Inn Express. This is the second time Priddy has been featured in the magazine, as he was showcased in the 2013 "30 Under 30" edition of the magazine.

Priddy has this to say about the honor in an interview with Hotel Management magazine: "I am deeply honored to be selected for the GMs to Watch section this month! From a young age I knew that I wanted to work in hotels. I had a great experience working with my first hotel General Manager while still in high school. From there I began learning everything I possibly could from any one I possibly could. Being recognized for hard work and my dedication to my hotels is always a proud moment!" He added "It is very much a team effort! In any industry, a leader is only as strong as their team and I am very lucky in that regard!"
