Guard Jaylen Fisher broke a tie with a 3-pointer in the final minute and TCU came up big at the free throw line as the Horned Frogs knocked off Illinois State 80-71 on Monday.

After the teams traded the lead back-and-forth for much of the second half, Redbirds guard Paris Lee made one of two free throws to tie the score at 71 with 54 seconds to play. Fisher's three made it 74-71 TCU (4-0) with 42 seconds left.

Illinois State forward Deonte Hawkins missed a three-pointer on the other end and Horned Frogs guard Brandon Parrish was fouled and made both free throws to push the margin to five with 29.7 seconds remaining. The Redbirds turned it over and guard Alex Robinson hit two more free throws. Two more free throws from Fisher provided the final margin.
