In her role as an obstetrics nurse, Blythe enjoys caring for women
in labor which includes monitoring the mother’s contractions and
helping her through them, monitoring the baby’s heart rate and
assisting with delivery. She also takes care of the moms who may
require monitoring during pregnancy and taking care of both the mom
and the baby after delivery.
Blythe is proud to be part of the teamwork at Abraham Lincoln
Memorial Hospital.
“I’m very proud of my co-workers because they work so well as a
team. From dietary, housekeeping, sterile processing to all the
nursing staff. Teamwork makes patient care go smoothly. It makes
ALMH a great place to work and a great place to be a patient!” said
Blythe.

Her calm and pleasant demeanor was only one reason Blythe was
nominated for the honor. The nomination also highlighted Jean as a

including her ability to successfully help new mothers breastfeed.
