Chicago Bears veteran quarterback Jay Cutler is believed to have a
torn labrum in his throwing shoulder and will miss the remainder of
the season, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport and NFL Network's Mike
Garafolo reported on Tuesday.
Cutler, who is seeking a second opinion on his shoulder issues,
sustained the injury during Sunday's 22-16 setback to the New York
Giants. The 33-year-old was sacked four times and threw an
interception on his final passing attempt.

The City of Oakland is making its pitch to keep the Raiders in town
and Mayor Libby Schaaf said that it has reached a framework

leaving.
The agreement is with a group headed by Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott
and must be approved by the Board of Supervisors and the Oakland
City Council before the two sides can move forward.

Houston Texans defensive end J.J. Watt played through a number of
significant injuries and ailments during the 2015 season --

The Los Angeles Rams released cornerback Troy Hill, three days after
he was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
The 25-year-old Hill crashed into the back of a big rig near Encino,
Calif., around 8 a.m. PT on Saturday, according to the California
Highway Patrol. Witness accounts claim Hill's Mercedes swerved
across multiple lanes before plunging into the semi-truck.

The Minnesota Vikings were without several prominent players in
Tuesday's practice.
Wide receiver Stefon Diggs, safeties Harrison Smith and Andrew
Sendejo and veteran cornerback Terence Newman did not participate in
the session. The Vikings (6-4) play a key NFC North tilt against the
host Detroit Lions on Thursday.

Detroit Lions tight end Brandon Pettigrew was on the field for
Tuesday's practice, signifying that the team activated him from the
physically unable to perform list.
Pettigrew has been unable to participate after tearing his ACL in
December. The 31-year-old has a three-week window to practice with
the team before either being placed on the 53-man roster or injured
reserve for the remainder of the season. (Editing by Frank Pingue)
