Obituary
Mary Joyce Byrge, 77, of Lincoln, passed away at
7:25 a.m. on Tuesday, October 4, 2016, at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Funeral services for Mrs. Byrge will be held on
Saturday, October 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Peasley
Funeral Home in Lincoln. Mr. Ron Otto will
officiate. Burial in New Union Cemetery will follow.
Visitation will be held at Peasley Funeral Home on
Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until
11:00 a.m.
Mary Joyce Keith was born April 23, 1939, in
Somerset, Kentucky, the daughter of Raymond and
Laura Bea Randel Keith. Joyce was raised by her
step-father Lucien Poynter. She married Bill G.
Byrge on September 14, 1957, in Dayton, Ohio. Bill
preceded Joyce in death on January 8, 2008.
Joyce is survived by their children: Rhonda (Bill)
Haak of Lincoln, Lisa (Tom) Dulaney of Xenia, Ill.,
and Jim (Marcey) Byrge of Lincoln; nine
grandchildren: Laura, Josh, Julie, Billie, Chandra,
Justin, Jordan, Blake, and Brock; nine
great-grandchildren; and one sister: Johnnie (Glenn)
Rogers of Somerset, Ky. |
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill; and two sons:
William Scott Byrge and Don Byrge.
Joyce was retired from Ball-Incon Glass Corp. in Lincoln. She was a
member of the Baptist faith.
Memorials may be to the American Cancer Society, American Heart
Association or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
Final arrangements are entrusted with Peasley Funeral Home of
Lincoln.
