Two weeks ago LC won a close, four-set match at LBU, but this
time, Lincoln was in command from start to finish.
In set one, the two teams battled early until freshman middle hitter
Cassidy Sanneman served nine straight points to put Lincoln up 18-9.
A late rally by Lindenwood would narrow the lead, before LC took the
set 25-22.
Set two saw the Lady Lynx come out firing to build 13-3 advantage.
The early run of points was sparked by 6 set assists from freshman
setter Abbi Buelow, three kills from freshman Mattie Giese and two
kills from freshman middle hitter Elysa Smith. Lincoln would
maintain the big lead the rest of the set to win it 25-12.
Set three was more of the same and LC used a balanced offensive
attack and tough defense to control the tempo of play. The final set
ended 25-14.
The victory improves Lincoln's record to 12-7 on the season.

LC Coach Mark Tippett: "Tonight we played a clean match from start
to finish. Lindenwood had trouble passing the ball to target which
helped us gain control of most of the rallies. Our offense was
strong all night and we made very few hitting errors. When we don't
help the other team by giving away points, we can be very tough to
deal with because all six of our rotations are pretty solid. It was
great to get a win at home which will hopefully be the start of a
good run for us in October."
Lincoln will travel to West Burlington, Iowa this weekend to
participate in the Southeastern CC Invite on Friday and Saturday.
