Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will miss at
least one game recovering from left knee surgery, which was
scheduled for Monday to repair a torn meniscus.
By the time Sunday's game ended in Miami, Roethlisberger said his
knee was already black and blue, and Pittsburgh began anticipating
playing without him for Week 7 and possibly beyond.

Colin Kaepernick will remain the San Francisco 49ers' starting
quarterback for at least another week.
Head coach Chip Kelly confirmed that Kaepernick will get his second
start of season for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The NFL plans to review a low hit by Cincinnati Bengals linebacker
Vontaze Burfict to the knee of New England Patriots tight end
Martellus Bennett.
Bennett said Burfict apologized to him for the fourth-quarter hit
after the Patriots' 35-17 win on Sunday.

New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton continues to lobby to make pass
interference calls eligible for replay review.
Payton reiterated his comments after some games on Sunday featured
pass interference calls or non-calls that were highly debatable.

"It has been (discussed) and for good reason, and let's hope that at
some point is (addressed) sooner than later," Payton told reporters.
"Listen, it's been brought up and discussed by a number of clubs,
and I think the competition committee needs to spend a lot more time
thinking about that specific call is so critical to get right."

Cleveland Browns safety Jordan Poyer remained in the hospital in
Nashville on Monday afternoon and in stable condition, coach Hue
Jackson said at his press conference in Berea, Ohio.
Poyer suffered a lacerated kidney during Sunday's game against the
Tennessee Titans and was transported to the hospital via ambulance.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Louis Murphy is starting his
reserve/physically unable to perform 21-day practice period this
week.
Murphy, who is currently on the reserve/physically unable to perform
list, can be activated at any time during his 21-day practice
period.

Houston Texans rookie safety K.J. Dillon reportedly suffered a torn
ACL against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday night.
The fifth-round draft pick from West Virginia was on crutches after
the Texans' 26-23 overtime win and went to get an MRI on his knee,
according to the Houston Chronicle.

The Indianapolis Colts waived cornerback Frankie Williams. The
5-foot-9, 190-pound Williams was elevated to the Colts' 53-man
roster from the practice squad last week and saw action in Sunday
night's 26-23 overtime loss to the Houston Texans.

The New England Patriots, who listed 15 players on their injury
report ahead of Sunday's win over Cincinnati, brought in some roster
reinforcements by signing running back Tyler Gaffney and fullback
Glenn Gronkowski to the practice squad.
Both players have previous experience with the Patriots.

The Detroit Lions re-signed defensive back Charles Washington to the
team's practice squad.
The Lions released wide receiver Jay Lee from the practice squad to
open a slot for Washington. Last week, Detroit signed Lee to the
