							Obituary

Richard “Dick” Miller, 78, of Lincoln passed away on
August 29, 2016 at his home.
Richard was born June 15, 1938 in Springfield, the
son of Zearl and Lula (Feese) Miller. He married
Sharon Easterday on March 1, 1956 in Keokuk, IA. She
							survives in Lincoln.

Richard is also survived by his children, Debra
(Rick) Heiser, Vicki (Scott) Wahler, and Kelly (Joe)
Elias; one brother, Gerald “Bird” Miller; his
grandchildren, Ryan (Katie) Bunner, Rendi (Mike)
Ray, Jordan Bunner, Kelsy Heiser, Betsy (Jordan)
Holloway, Janel (Nick) Del Frate, Kailee Wahler,
Jared Parrott, Marlea Elias, and Holly Elias; his
							great-grandchildren Andrew Bunner, Katelyn Ray,
Kinley Ray, Kobie Bunner, and Avery Del Frate.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Dick was a member of Lincoln Christian Church and he
							retired from IDOT.

Dick was an absolute sports buff. Some would even
call him a historian of sports; if someone had a
question about a game or a team they would call
Dick. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He
enjoyed the Men’s breakfast club at the Alley-Bi. He
was a Lincoln Railer fan and as well as a former
player; in 1956 he played in the very last sweet 16
basketball game that was held at Huff Stadium in
							Champaign.
