 Based at the Prairie Capital Convention Center and locally hosted
by the Illinois State Genealogical Society, the FGS 2016 Conference
theme is “Time Travel: Centuries of Memories” and features 72
speakers presenting over 160 sessions and workshops for all skill
levels. Top popular national professional genealogists will be
present including Mary M. Tedesco, co-host of PBS’ Genealogy
Roadshow and CeCe Moore, DNA consultant for Finding Your Roots and
Genealogy Roadshow, both on PBS, plus many more — all ready to help
you learn more about your family history. Genealogists, historians,
librarians, and archivists from all over the United States and
beyond will convene in Springfield for four days of genealogy and

For those unable to attend the conference, the Exhibit Hall is the
place to be. There is a full exhibit hall with demonstrations
