							Dallas D. Millard, 73, passed away at 7:04 p.m. on 
							September 3, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center in 
							Springfield.
 Dallas was born on February 4, 1943 in Lincoln, son 
							of Eldon and Juanita Kennett Millard. He married 
							Sandy Sheley on June 14, 1964 in Lincoln, she 
							survives him.
 
 Also surviving are his children: Darla (Brett) 
							Hamilton of Jacksonville, J.R. (Kelly) Millard of 
							Mason City, and Darren (Dody) Millard of Sedalia, 
							MO, six grandchildren: Nicholas Hamilton, Clark 
							Hamilton, Paige Hamilton, Evan (Kristina) Millard, 
							Josie Millard, and Devin Millard, one great 
							grandchild; Kennedy Millard, one sister; Sandra 
							Merrill of Sherman. He was preceded in death by his 
							parents and two sisters: Alice May Millard and 
							Beverly Ward.
 
 Dallas served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam 
							War. He was a lifelong member of the Lincoln 
							American Legion Post #263 and National Rifle 
							Association. He was a member of the Lincoln Elk’s 
							Lodge 914 and Lincoln Sportsman Club. He was a 
							firefighter for the city of Lincoln for 27 years and 
							retired as Assistant Chief, and was a life member of 
							International Association of Fire Fighters. Dallas’ 
							favorite past time was playing golf at the Elks 
							Lodge with his golfing buddies.

							A celebration of life will be held from 5:00-7:00 
							p.m. Friday September 9, 2016 at the Elks Lodge 914 
							in Lincoln. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 
							p.m. Friday September 9, 2016 also at the Elks Lodge 
							914 just following the celebration of life. 
 Memorials may be made in Dallas’ name to the Elks 
							914 Charitable Trusts.
