Guests
gather on Tuesday at the Annual PrairiErth Field
day. The morning-long event hosted by PrairErth
owner David Bishop included a wide variety of guest
speakers addressing food systems from field to
consumer in sustainable agriculture - building
infrastructure, marketing, farm economics and
financing opportunities, along with a test plot tour
and speakers from the University of Illinois. A
noon-time meal was prepared and served by the
managers of Bean Sprouts, a new restaurant soon to
be opened in Lincoln, that will strive to offer and
locally grown foods on their daily menu. Lincoln
Daily News will offer additional coverage of the
field day in future editions.
