The rally will be held on Thursday, September 29, at St. Paul’s
Lutheran Church, Havana. Serving as hosts this year will be the
ladies of the Ladies Aid Society of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church,
Havana. Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. with opening devotions
at 9:30 a.m. by Pastor Kevin Wendorf.
The keynote speaker for the rally will be Pastor Terry Strom who
currently serves as Associate Pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church in
Bloomington, Illinois. He will share the love and joy that he has
experienced on the various mission trips he has been on in the
United States, Guatemala, Haiti and Kenya.
Lincoln Zone President, Alice Meeker of Mason City, will conduct the
business meeting. A Bible Study based on the theme, “The Time is
Now,” will be presented by Pastor Mark Peters who is currently
serving as Sr. Counselor for the LWML Central Illinois District. The
ingathering for the rally will be monetary donations for the mission
in Haiti which will be used to provide food for orphans, to buy
fabric to make school uniforms and to purchase eyeglasses for the
Haitian people.

The LWML is an auxiliary of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod which
proclaims the saving faith of Jesus Christ throughout the United
States and the world. The LWML Central Illinois District is
currently funding several projects through their mites, including:
Student Aid for Church Workers, Food Banks for Fort Wayne & St.
Louis Seminaries, and Reaching the Homebound with 30-minute
broadcast Worship Services.
Nationally funded mite projects include: Clean Water & Evangelism Ministry in
Africa, Disaster Response Trailers, and Phil’s Friends Cancer Care Packages.
