They came away with a 2-1 record; with a 2-1 hard fought loss to
Monmouth, a 2-1 win over East Peoria, and a 9-1 route of Peoria
Manual. This momentum spurred Lincoln to another closely contested
match with perennial Central State 8 contender Sacred Heart-Griffin,
losing after two overtimes and finally going to Penalty Kicks. They
eventually fell short and lost 4-3. This brings the Railers record
to a deceiving 3-5, not reflecting the close nature of the games.
