			LINCOLN
			- ACT Research has shown that it is the rigor of coursework, rather
than simply the number of core academic courses, that has the
greatest impact on ACT performance and college readiness. |

            |
In order to ensure that all students are ready for college, Lincoln
			Community High School has:
 1. Created a Common Focus. The district has established
collaborative partnerships with local and state postsecondary
institutions to come to a shared understanding of what students need
			to know for college readiness.

 2. Established High Expectations for All. The district has created a
school culture that identifies and communicates the need for all
students to meet or exceed Benchmark Scores.

 3. Requires a Rigorous Curriculum. The district reviews and
evaluates the rigor and alignment of courses offered and required in
			English, mathematics, and science.

 4. Provides Student Counseling. The district engages all students in
early college and career awareness, helping them to set high
aspirations, and ensure that they plan a rigorous high school
			coursework program.

5. Measures and Evaluates Progress. The district monitors and measures every
student’s progress early and often using college readiness assessments like the
ACT.
Lincoln Community High School is proud to announce 132 high school seniors
participated in the ACT test during the 2015 – 2016 school year. The table below
shows how our students achieved vs. the state average.
