			LINCOLN 
			- Established political party candidates for the following offices 
			in the City of Lincoln will be nominated in the February 28, 2017 
			Consolidated Primary Election:  | 
		
            | 
			
			 Mayor, City Clerk and City Treasurer, which are all four-year 
			terms: One (1) Alderman from each of the following wards for four-year 
			terms: Ward 1, Ward 2, Ward 3 and Ward 4; 
			 One (1) Alderman from each of the following wards for two-year 
			terms: Ward 1 and Ward 4. Petitions for established political 
			party candidates for the above elected offices may now be 
			circulated.
 The following documents are available in the office of the City 
			Clerk. These documents must be returned to this office during the 
			filing period which is November 21-28, 2016.
 
			
			 
			1) Nominating petitions for established party candidates for 
			the Consolidated Primary Election on February 28, 2017. Please note 
			that petitions for City-wide offices: Mayor, City Clerk and City 
			Treasurer, must contain the signatures of no less than fifty (50) 
			qualified signers. Petitions for Alderman must contain the 
			signatures of no less than twenty-five (25) qualified signers.
 2) Statement of Candidacy for candidates seeking nomination 
			in the Consolidated Primary.
 
 3) Loyalty Oath (optional form).
 
 4) Statement of Economic Interest – This statement must be 
			filed with the Office of the Logan County Clerk and a copy of this 
			statement must be filed with this office no later than the deadline 
			for filing of petitions.

			Prospective candidates are strongly encouraged to read the State of 
			Illinois 2017 Candidates Guide and the Election and Campaign Finance 
			Calendar which can be downloaded from the State Board of Elections 
			website at 
			www.elections.il.gov.  
			 Copies of these documents are available for viewing in this 
			office from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except 
			for City holidays. If you need additional information or further
