 3rd Fridays Downtown has been a very popular monthly activity for
residents and visitors of Lincoln and the committee wanted to wrap
up the summer series with something spectacular. After brainstorming
it was decided that rather than focus on new activities we would
bring back several of the most popular activities from the past 3rd
Fridays Downtown.
This month’s activities will include the return of the most popular
inflatables Hungry, Hungry, Hippos and a Football Throw. For the
younger children we will also be bringing back an inflatable bouncy
house to ensure that there is something fun for all ages.
Other activities will include the return of giant versions of the
popular games such as Twister, Jenga, and Connect Four to name a
few. Spirited Republic and Alley-Bi Saloon will once again be
sponsoring a 3- hour bags tournament.
And to bring out the kid in all of us there will be Big Trike races.
Four competitors will jump on adult-size tricycles and race each
other for a prize. First one to cross the finish line wins.
 This month’s “Touch-A-Truck” activity will include a number of brand
new Lincoln Police Department vehicles.
Sorrento’s will once again sell pizza by the slice and Alley-Bi
Saloon will have cheeseburgers as well. For dessert Schwann’s will
have ice cream treats for sale.
Music this month will include performances by the Unstable Tables,
Raven Hill, and Mayhew the Trader.
Visitors are encouraged to stroll through the growing vendor market
and explore the downtown area as many businesses will have special
extended hours to accommodate late night shopping.

In the case of inclement weather, the 3rd Friday Committee will make its best
efforts to inform the public, vendors, and other stakeholders whether or not the
event will proceed as planned. There is not a rain-date scheduled.
3rd Fridays Downtown is made possible by the generosity of sponsors such as

happen.
