2017 Election:  Local School Board packets now available online

[September 21, 2016]  LINCOLN - Logan County Clerk, Sally Turner, states that school board packets are now available for pick up at the Office of the County Clerk or on line at the Clerk’s Website at www.logancountyil.gov  under “Election Information”.

Petition circulation of school board petitions began September 20. Potential candidates should pay close attention to the proper instructions in the packets as to signature requirement and filing location and dates.

The April 4, 2017 Consolidated Election elects various school board members, park and library boards, township officials, and municipalities, but only school board candidates file with the County Clerk. All other candidates seeking election to any other office should contact their local election official of their district -which is generally the secretary or clerk of that taxing body.

Names and addresses of the various taxing bodies in Logan County can be found on the County Clerk’s website under “Reference and Yearbook”. Questions about school board filings, voter registration or general election information can be made by emailing elections@logan countyil.gov  or calling the election office at [phone].
