DECATUR - Stella B. Rinehart,
95, of Decatur, formerly of Atlanta, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on
Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur. |
Visitation:
Wednesday, September 7, 2016, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00
p.m. at Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home in Atlanta, and
one hour prior to the funeral on Thursday.
Service:
11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home

Obituary
Stella B. Rinehart, 95, of Decatur, formerly of
Atlanta, passed away at 7:15 a.m. on Tuesday,
September 6, 2016, at Decatur Memorial Hospital in
Decatur.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 7,
2016, from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at Quiram-Peasley
Funeral Home in Atlanta, and for one hour prior to
the funeral on Thursday.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rinehart will be held on
Thursday, September 8, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at
Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home. Pastor Dave Brown will
officiate.
Burial will follow in Atlanta Cemetery.
Stella B. Ryan was born February 5, 1921, in Peoria,
the daughter of Arthur Merle and Letha May Snyder
Ryan. She married Earl Lee Rinehart on August 23,
1938, in Covington, Ind. He preceded her in death on
April 25, 1994.
Stella is survived by their children: Loretta Taylor
of Decatur and Thomas Merle Rinehart of New
Braunfels, Tex.; 6 grandchildren; 10
great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren;
and one sister: Goldie Ball of Eureka. |
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1
grandson: J.D. Buckley, two brothers and one sister.
Stella was a longtime member of Atlanta Christian Church, Atlanta
VFW Auxiliary Post 1824 where she served as the first president, and
the Atlanta Women's Club where she was a past president. She was a
life member of VFW Post 1756 in Lincoln and the National Children's
Homes of Eaton Rapids, Mich. Stella also belonged to Atlanta
American Legion Post 341 Auxiliary. She was a frequent volunteer at
the Soldier and Sailors home in Quincy and Christian Village Nursing
Home in Lincoln. Stella worked at Lehn & Fink in Lincoln for 35
years.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer
Society or an organization of the donor's choice.
Final arrangements entrusted with Quiram-Peasley Funeral Home of
Atlanta.
